Welcome to the new web page of the ANU Archives Program

Welcome to the new web page of the ANU University Archives and Noel Butlin Archives Centre (NBAC). On 1 August 2001 the Noel Butlin Archives Centre joined with the University Archives to form the ANU Archives Program and is now in the portfolio of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Administration).

We would like to thank all at Maven, who designed and developed the site, for their professionalism, expertise and unfailing good humour. The University Archivist would also like to recognise the exceptional team effort undertaken by the staff of the Archives who did an excellent job in planning, developing and preparing the content for the site.

Holdings

The NBAC's List of Holdings has been substantially updated as at 30 June 2001. The list is a broad guide to collections held by the Archives. A similar guide is being developed for the burgeoning University Archives and a broad description of the collections is available. Detailed finding aids are available from the Archives in paper form.

New collections, recently received, include the Rev Alf Clint Collection of publications relating to co-operatives and the co-operative movement, and records of the ANU Urban Research Program and the ANU School of Economics.

Significant additions have been received to existing collections including the: National Aids Archives Collection, Council of Small Business Organisations of Australia, NSW Farmers Association and the National Farmers Federation, and the Australian Association of National Advertisers.
